Question

How can one imagine climate futures when one’s knowledge of said futures is essentially uncertain? How can one render this uncertainty legible?

Our initial aim

Based on future weather data from climate models, we planned to generate both a station plot and text-based weather report, together resembling a weather horoscope. We were inspired by the visual similarity between zodiac signs and the WMO codes. We planned to train an LLM on past text-based weather reports and data, generating future weather reports based on the modelled/simulated data of future climates.

We had an extensive conversation about different strategies of divination (astrology and tarot) and formulated some initial thoughts on how these might relate to telling future weather.
